Iowa Wild Signs Goalie Cody Reichard to PTO

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Thursday the American Hockeu League (AHL) club has signed goaltender Cody Reichard to a professional tryout agreement (PTO). Mill also announced the club has released goaltender Rob Granett from an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).
Reichard joins the Wild from the Orlando Solar Bears, Iowa's ECHL affiliate. In 20 games with Orlando, he is 13-4-1 with a 3.18 GAA and a .903 SV %. He's also made nine appearances this season for the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets. The second-year goaltender was 2-4-3 with a 3.47 GAA and a .898 SV% in Fort Wayne. He played in seven AHL games with Houston in 2012-13, going 3-1-1 with a 2.41 GAA and a .910 SV%. The Celina, OH native started his pro career last season with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. In 27 games with the Thunder, the 27-year old was 13-8-5 with a 2.64 GAA and a .911 SV%. He played four years at Miami University (OH), going 53-24-9 with a 2.10 GAA and a .912 SV%.
Granett was a back up in Grand Rapids for Iowa on Wednesday night.
Iowa continues a five-game road trip on Friday, Apr. 4 at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee. The team will also make stops in Chicago and Milwaukee prior to returning home on Friday, April 11 for Chicago at 7:05 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
