Kings Assign Taylor To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned goaltender Daniel Taylor to the Reading Royals (ECHL), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced.
Taylor, 21, played in one game for the Kings this season. He made his NHL debut with the club in relief on March 29 at STAPLES Center, stopping 10 of 12 shots in the third period. Taylor was the seventh goalie to see action with the Kings this season, tying an NHL record. The 1989-90 Quebec Nordiques and 2002-03 St. Louis Blues also used seven goalies in one season.
Taylor also played in 23 games with the Monarchs this season, and has recorded a 13-5-2 record, four shutouts, a 2.40 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage. In addition, he has played in five games with Reading, where he is 3-0-0 with a 2.63 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage. The 5-foot-11, 179-pound Taylor, was originally selected by the Kings in the seventh-round (221st overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, is a native of Plymouth, England.
