
Killer Bees Sign Blueliner Jon Madden

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, proud affiliates of the Florida Panthers and San Antonio Rampage announced Thursday the signing of defenseman Jon Madden. Madden played for former Killer Bees coach Chris Brooks at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Madden is a 6'2, 209 lbs. player who just made the switch back to defense after playing center for three seasons at UWSP. Madden is a physical blue liner who can also move the puck up the ice.
At Stevens Point this season the Pointers made their conference championship game.
Madden split time with the USHL and NAHL during his junior seasons and for his career at UWSP scored 37 goals and added 34 assists in 99 games.
The Bees are in Dayton to face the Gems on Friday night and the puck drops at 6:00 p.m. Fans can follow the game on 956sports.com and CHL-tv.
