
Americans Lead the Way in Central Hockey Leagues Best of the Best Awards

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans lead the way on Thursday, when the CHL announced their "ËBest of the Best' award winners.
Allen's Bruce Graham was voted "ËBest Power Forward' and "ËBest Stickhandler,' along with finishing runner-up to Evansville's Todd Robinson in the category of "ËBest Overall Player'
The Americans were represented in 21 categories, which was more than any other team in the Central Hockey League. Allen finished first overall in ten different categories, including "ËBest Team Logo' "ËBest Uniforms' "ËBest City' "ËMost Attractive Place to Play' "ËBest Host Hotel' and "ËBest Arena Music.'
Americans Broadcaster Tommy Daniels was voted as the Central Hockey League's Best Broadcaster for 2011-2012. He was also selected as an All Star Broadcaster this season. Daniels has been the Americans play by play voice since the teams inception in 2009-2010.
The Allen Americans Ice Angels were selected first overall in the category of "ËBest Dance Team'. That's the second year in a row for the girls, who are under the direction of Stephanie DiBiase-Wheat.
Other Americans receiving votes were Colton Yellow Horn, who finished runner-up in the category of "ËBest Shooter in Shootouts'. Jarret Lukin finished second in "ËBest Defensive Forward'. Scott Langdon, second overall in "ËBest Bodychecker' and Americans netminders Marco Cousineau and Rejean Beauchemin finished second and third, respectively, in the category of Best Goaltender'. The Americans Training and Equipment Staff finished runner-up to Rapid City, while Bruce Graham was third overall in the categories of "ËMost Valuable to his Team', and "ËBest on Faceoffs'.
The Allen Americans have achieved much success in just their third season in the league; The Americans went to the CHL Presidents Cup Finals in year one, before falling to Rapid City in six games. Allen finished with the best overall record in the CHL in 2010-2011, winning the Governors Cup Trophy, along with a trip to the Berry Conference Finals. The Americans are second overall in the Berry Conference this year, clinching their third straight playoff berth last week. Allen leads the CHL with 17 call-ups to the American Hockey League.
