LOVES PARK, Ill. - Families in search of affordable entertainment and economical eats can make plans to spend Wednesdays at Road Ranger Stadium the rest of the season.
The Rockford RiverHawks have scheduled "Kids Eat Free" nights for each remaining Wednesday home game, this week against Washington, and Aug. 26, against River City. Each game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start.
Each kid will receive a hot dogs, chips and a soft drink, with ticket purchase. Each kid must be accompanied by a parent. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 17th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit the RiverHawks online at www.rockfordriverhawks.com. Most games are broadcast live on ESPN 1380, and on the team website.
