Keys and Hillcats Washed Out

LYNCHBURG, VA-Wednesday night's game between the Frederick Keys and the Lynchburg Hillcats has been postponed on account of rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday night. First pitch is slated for 5:00 p.m and both contests will be seven innings in length.

Thursday will be the third twinbill of the year for the Keys and the first for the club in May. Previously, the Keys split a doubleheader in Myrtle Beach and were swept by Salem.

On Friday, May 18, the Keys return to town to face the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. It is Family Fitness Weekend sponsored by Premiere Dental Arts, while highlights include an All Caps Night with an appearance by former Capital Mike Knuble and Hail to the Redskins Night, featuring a visit by former players Santana Moss and Gary Clark (presented by PMSI). The Frederick Keys are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play their home games at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium. In 2017, the Keys received the Esurance Home Field Advantage Award for Carolina League for the second straight season, after leading the circuit in highest percentage of attendance based on ballpark capacity. The club will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2018.
