Keyes to Replace Dykstra at EL All-Star Game

Harrisburg, PA - In conjunction with the Eastern League and the Altoona Curve, Kevin Keyes has been selected to replace the injured Cutter Dykstra on the Western Division All-Star team. Keyes joins Michael Taylor and Colin Bates as the representatives for the Senators in the Eastern League All-Star Game, which will take place on July 16 at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona, Pa.

Kevin Keyes is currently hitting .247 with 15 home runs and 44 RBI in 69 games with Harrisburg this season. Keyes is second on the team in homers and third in RBI despite not playing his first game with the Senators until April 25. Keyes has hit all 15 of his long balls since May 1, which is the third-most over that span in the Eastern League. The 25-year old from Austin, TX has played first base, right field and left field for the Senators this season. Keyes was the Washington Nationals 7th round pick in the 2010 draft from the University of Texas.

The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
