Key Bank Set To Collect Gloves For Ymc A
April 16, 2010 - Eastern League (EL1)
Akron RubberDucks News Release
AKRON, OH - The Aeros announced today that they have collaborated with local Key Bank branches to collect baseball gloves for local area youth. Beginning on Monday, April 26th and running thru Friday, May 14th, KeyBank branches will be collecting gently used baseball gloves that will be distributed to area youth through local YMCA branches.
Anyone looking to donate a gently used baseball glove will receive a ticket voucher good for two $5.00 reserved seat tickets for any Akron Aeros regular season home game, based on availability. This represents a 50% savings off the regular gate admission price. The voucher may be redeemed at any Canal Park Box Office Window or at Infield Outfitters, the Akron Aeros Team Shop. Baseball gloves can be dropped off at any local KeyBank location to receive the voucher. "This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and get a great deal on Aeros tickets," said Media Relations Director Jeff Holtke.
The donated baseball gloves will be given to the local YMCA branches for distribution to area youth during a post-game presentation at the Aeros home game on Friday, May 14th. The evenings events will wrap up with the first post-game fireworks show of the 2010 season sponsored by KeyBank.
KeyBank's mission is to maintain a leadership role in developing innovative solutions to meet community credit needs and teaming up with the local YMCA branches does just that, providing local area youth the chance to play baseball.
The Aeros continue their defense of their 2009 Eastern League Championship Friday night at 7:05 against the Bowie Baysox at Canal Park. For more information on tickets and all the other festivities planned at Canal Park in 2010, please visit the Aeros online at www.akronaeros.com or call (330) 253-5151.
