The Party at the Park continues as the Kernels open a six game home stand. Here's what you can expect at the ballpark each of the six games:
July 18-20 vs. Fort Wayne
The Kernels open a six game home stand with three games against the Fort Wayne Tincaps, the Midwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
The home stand kicks off with Hall of Fame Night on Wednesday, July 18th. The Kernels recognize the Cedar Rapids Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2012: Jack Roeder, John Campbell and Reggie Jefferson, in a pre-game ceremony. Members from the 1961 Cedar Rapids Braves and the 1949 Cedar Rapids Rockets will be on-hand to sign autographs and be recognized before the game as well as the 1983 Cedar Rapids Reds manager, Bruce Kimm. The Kernels will also be hosting the Free From Sin Ministries Blood Drive from 2 to 7 pm. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Tincaps is set for 6:35 pm.
It's 90s Night at the Stadium on Thursday, July 19th when the Kernels take on Fort Wayne at 6:35 pm. It's Starbucks, grunge and iPods as the Kernels celebrate the decade of the 1990s. The Kernels will recognize members of the 1994 MWL Championship team in a pre-game ceremony. The Midwest Dueling Pianos, presented by USA Entertainment, will be on hand to entertain fans during and after the game. And, enjoy 12 oz. domestic draft beer for $1.50 and $2 bottled soda and water on Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday. The Kernels welcome guests from Tipton to their community night at the stadium. Gates open at 5:30 pm.
It will be a 'Dark Knight' at the stadium on Friday, July 20th on Batman and ACS 'Blackout Cancer' night. The first 1,000 guests through the gates receive a free Batman mask from the Kernels. Come dressed as your favorite character from the movies or TV series and see the original 1960s Batmobile! Fans are encouraged to wear black that night for ACS 'Blackout Cancer' Night. The Kernels will wear special jerseys, sponsored by Pat McGrath Chevyland, that will be sold during the game via a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society. It's a Kernels Mug Club Night, presented by Sip N Stir with media partner 98.1 KHAK. Buy a 16 oz. collectors mug for $5 and get it filled with domestic draft beer or soda at the Kernels Concession Stands. Get refills for just $2.50 during the game and bring your mug back every Friday Kernels home game for $2.50 refills or take your mug to Sip N Stir for $2.50 refills anytime! Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Tincaps is set for 6:35 pm.
July 21-23 vs. Lake County
The Kernels continue the six game home stand with three games against the Lake County Captains, the Midwest League affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
Who's ready for some country music? The 8 Seconds Band will perform a post-game concert when the Kernels take on Lake County at 5:05 pm. The game will be televised LIVE on KCRG 9.2 and following the game, enjoy the music of 8 Seconds until the Kernels launch a spectacular FIREWORKS show between 9:00 and 9:15 pm. Gates open at 4:00 pm and the Kernels take on Lake County at 5:05 pm.
It's a busy and full game on Sunday, July 22nd when the Kernels take on Lake County at 2:05 pm. It's a 104.5 KDAT Run The Bases Sunday where fans can get autographs from the Kernels on the concourse prior to the game, play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo during the game for a chance to win a trip to Anaheim and see the Angels in 2013. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon and face painting by Funny Face Designs by Lori on the concourse. Meet storybook princesses Cinderella, Snow White and Belle, presented by Glass Slipper Entertainment on the concourse during the game and world-class juggler Doug Sayers will entertain fans during the game. After the game, fans can play catch in the outfield as boys and girls ages 6-12 take part in the FREE Chuck Fulton Memorial Home Run Derby, presented by Perfect Game USA. Registration for the Home Run Derby is required, but you can download a registration form at www.kernels.com, or sign up when you get to the game. Gates open at 1:00 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Captains is set for 2:05 pm.
It's our final Noon Game of the season, presented by 104.5 KDAT. Take a break from the office for some daytime baseball as the Kernels host Lake County at 12:05 pm. Enjoy the Noon Game Lunch Combo, consisting of a hamburger, hot dog, cheeseburger or brat, chips or popcorn, and 16 oz. draft beer or 20 oz. bottled soda for just $7. Gates open at 11:00 am.

104.5 KDAT Run the Bases Sunday: Every Sunday home game, fans can get autographs from the Kernels players on the concourse from 1:20 to 1:40 pm. Play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo for a chance to win a trip Anaheim in 2013 and see an Angels game. And after the game, kids (and adults) can run the bases and play catch on the field. Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday: 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 all game and get bottled soda and water for $2.

Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com ; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
