
Kernels Approaching Two Million Fans

Cedar Rapids, IA - The countdown is on as to when the Kernels welcome the two millionth fan through the gates at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Since the stadium opened in 2002, the number of fans through the gates is 1,994,577 as of Sunday, June 16th.
The lucky fan who is number two million will receive a $3,000 prize package consisting of:
- $1,500 Cash
- One night in a Kernels Diamond Suite
- Four Praise in the Park concert tickets, featuring Jeremy Camp & Big Daddy Weave
- Two Minnesota Twins Tickets
- Four MMA Tickets on Saturday, August 10
- Kernels Merchandise (T-shirt, Cap plus merchandise)
- 2013 Team Autograph Ball
- Ox Yoke Gift Certificate
- Fareway Gift Certificate
- Hy-Vee Gift Certificate
- Jimmy Johns Gift Certificate
- Genghis Gift Certificate
- Stadium Lounge Gift Certificate
Based on attendance projections, the Kernels should reach the two million milestone during the next home stand (June 25-July 1), most likely on Wednesday, June 26th or Thursday, June 27th. The fan fortunate enough to be that lucky fan will be recognized and presented with their prize package on the field prior to that night's game.
Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com, or by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560. Ticket office hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
