Bostick Claims MWL Player of the Week Honors

BELOIT, WI - Beloit Snappers second baseman Christopher Bostick has been named the Midwest League Player of the Week for the week of June 10-16. In seven games, Bostick batted .458 with 4 homers and a remarkable 14 RBIs. He also scored five times and stole two bases.

With the Snappers fighting for a division title, Bostick played his best baseball of the year. He began the week with homers in consecutive games, both Beloit wins. After driving in three runs over the next three games, Bostick went off in the last two contests of the first half, both must wins for his team. Facing the Clinton LumberKings on June 15th, he slammed a pair of homers in a 10-3 victory. The next day, Bostick added three more RBIs, including a walk-off, RBI single in the ninth.

A native of Rochester, New York, Bostick was taken by the Athletics in the 44th round of the 2011 draft out of Aquinas Institute. He is the first Beloit player in 2013 to be named Midwest League Player of the Week.
