
Kenosha Doubles up Lake County

Lake County Fielders News Release
Zion, IL -The Kenosha County Fielders has a four-run third inning and a four-run fifth inning; propelling them to a 8-4 victory over the Lake County Fielders Saturday evening at Fielders Stadium in Zion, Illinois.
Leading the offensive charge yet again for Kenosha was their shortstop Joe Ferro. Ferro went 3 for 4 at the plate with two runs scored. Ferro's wife also performed live during the seventh-inning stretch with Survivor band member Jim Peterik.
Lake County was led offensively by designated hitter John Bishop; who had two singles. Second baseman Chad Rebecca was kept busy on the defensive side of things, recording seven ground ball outs.
Lake County's starter Chris Krepline; making his debut, went the distance. Krepline threw nine innings, allowing eight runs; seven earned, while walking two and striking out four.
The "Border Battle" series continues Sunday afternoon at 1 pm for game 5 at Fielders Stadium in Zion, Illinois. It's Family Day, so make sure to bring the whole family out as tickets are still available. Lake County Tryouts
Due to Saturday morning's rain, tryouts have been rescheduled for Sunday August 21st at 10 AM at Fielders Stadium in Zion. Registration will begin at 9 AM. Prospective players must be at least 18 years of age and provide their own equipment for the tryout.
