Zion, IL -The Kenosha Kings (formerly the Kenosha County Fielders), got eight strong innings from starter Travis Vanderwall during Wednesday's 6-2 victory over the Lake County Fielders.

Vanderwall went eight innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out five.

The offensive charge for the Kings was led by longtime member Mark Cibrario. Cibrario, was 2 for 2 with a walk. He had a pair of singles; one being an RBI single, two runs scored and a stolen base on the evening.

Lake County was led offensively by second baseman Chad Rebecca. Rebecca went 2 for 3 with a walk along with a run scored and an RBI. First base,am David Casey went 1 for 3 for the Fielders with a single, a walk and a run scored.

Lake County starter Douglas Coe lasted five innings for the second consecutive start. Coe surrendered five runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out three. Ruben Castellano came in for relief and threw three and a third of an inning. Castellano walked three and struck out one without giving up a single hit.

The "Border Battle" series continues Thursday evening at 7 pm for game 14 at Fielders Stadium in Zion, Illinois. The Kenosha Kings currently have a 7 games to 6 advantage against Lake County with five games to go. Tickets still remain for all games.
