The National Lacrosse League today announced Roughnecks forward Tracy Kelusky has been named the NLL Offensive Player of the Week for week one. Kelusky lived up to the anticipation of the organization and it's fans, when he was selected by the Roughnecks with the first overall pick in the Montreal Express dispersal draft, leading all Roughnecks scorers with his four goals and five assists for nine total points in leading the Roughnecks to a 14-9 win over division rival the Ottawa Rebel.

Kelusky currently sits second in league goal scoring (four goals) and leads the NLL. with his five assists.

"He's the quarterback of the team in terms of offence and he shows leadership on and off the floor," Roughnecks Head Coach Chris Hall on the club's new captain.

"We knew when we acquired Tracey that he was going to have a dramatic impact for us."

Roughnecks fans will get a chance to see Kelusky and the rest of the ‘new and improved' Calgary Roughnecks when the club opens the home portion of the 2003 NLL season on Sunday, January 12 at 1:30pm when the New Jersey Storm invade the Saddledome.
