Kelowna Rockets News Release

Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Rockets have announced that 18 year old Dylan Hood has been traded to the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Rockets send Hood to the Warriors in exchange for 21 year old Ryley Grantham and a fifth round draft pick in the 2011 Bantam Draft.

President/General Manager of the Kelowna Rockets Bruce Hamilton stated, "We're giving up a third year player and a quality person. The way our roster looks now, we wanted to send Dylan to a place where he would get the ice time he deserves. Acquiring Ryley, we acquire a heavy weight champ that will add some spirit to our dressing room."

In his third Western Hockey League season Grantham has 345 penalty minutes, including 132 minutes this season alone in 38 games. He has also recorded 19 goals and 34 points in his three year career. Grantham will be in the line-up this weekend when the Rockets host the Portland Winterhawks and Prince George Cougars.

In 37 games this season with the Rockets Hood has eight goals and 19 points. Over his 148 career games with the Rockets, he has compiled 18 goals and 39 points.
