Giants and Blazers Complete Trade

Cranbrook BC - The Vancouver Giants have acquired defenseman Nick Ross and forward Alex Rodgers from the Kamloops Blazers. In exchange, the Blazers receive defenseman Curtis Kulchar, Vancouver's 3rd and 4th round draft picks in 2009 and Vancouver's 2nd round pick in 2010.

Ross, 19, is a first round draft pick of the Phoenix Coyotes (30th overall) in 2007. Last season, Ross finished with eight goals and 37 assists for 45 points. Ross is a Lethbridge, AB, product. This season, Ross has scored 4 goals and 18 assists for 22 points in 40 games.

Rodgers, 19, scored sixteen goals and twenty nine assists for 45 points last season with the Blazers. This season, the Salmon Arm, BC resident has tallied four goals and added 15 assists for 19 points.
