
Kelowna Rockets Earn 4-1 Victory Over Tri-City Americans

The Kelowna Rockets closed out their weekend by picking up a 4-1 victory over the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night in Kennewick, WA.
The Rockets hit the road for a pair of road games this weekend, picking up a 4-3 overtime win over the Vancouver Giants on Friday night.
Andrew Cristall's (35) power play goal from the left faceoff circle pushed the Rockets ahead 18:47 into the opening frame.
Michael Cicek's shot made its way past Kyle Kelsey but fell short of the goal line, sitting in the blue paint Tij Iginla (42) tapped the loose puck into the net. Brett Calhoon (3) let a shot go from the right faceoff dot to net his first goal as Rocket. Before the end of the second period Andrew Cristall from below the goal line sent the puck out front where Max Graham (14) unleashed a one-timer past Kelsey.
Jake Sloan (28) broke Jari Kykkanen's shutout bid 11:06 into the third period.

Rockets goaltender Jari Kykkanen stopped 34 of 37 shots fired his way to pick up his 23rd win of the season and earn first star honors
Tri-City was 0/1 with the man advantage, while the Rockets power play went 1/2
Both teams fired 33 shots on net
This was the fourth of five meetings between the two this season, with the Rockets leading the season series 3-1.
UP NEXT
The next Rockets home game is set for Wednesday, March 2, when the Tri-City Americans will make their final visit of the season to Prospera Place. It will be a Fan First Menu night with $2 hot dogs and $5 beer Lucky Lager. The Fan First Menu is available at all Monday to Wednesday regular season games.
