Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce running back Kenton Keith has been named the CFL Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second consecutive week.
Keith once again led the Riders in Ottawa as they picked up their fourth straight victory. The second-year running back set the tone for the game when he took a hand-off on the opening play from scrimmage for a 70-yard touchdown. He finished the game with 161 rushing yards and a touchdown on only 18 carries. He also cracked the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season for the first time in his CFL career.
Keith joins Reggie Hunt, Paul McCallum, Eddie Davis and Scott Schultz as Riders who have won CFL weekly awards this season. This is the fourth time Keith has won this award, including the Western Semi-Final in Winnipeg last year when he ran for 140 yards and three touchdowns.
