Donny Brady earns CFL Defensive Player of the Week honours

(Edmonton) The accolades are rolling in after the Eskimo 39-19 victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Monday. Defensive back Donny Brady has been named CFL Defensive Player of the Week for Week 17.

Brady picked up the honours after his six tackles, two interceptions and a pass knockdown versus the Alouettes. Both of his picks were converted into touchdowns by the Eskimo offense. This is Brady's second Defensive Player of the Week honour this season and the fourth of his career. Earlier this year, Brady received the award after his four tackles and two interceptions in the victory over the Ottawa Renegades in Week 11.

The Eskimos travel to Regina to take on the Roughriders on Sunday, October 17 at 2:00 pm. The next Eskimos home game is Sunday, October 24 versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at 2:00 pm.
