Keep Celebrating After the Season with the RiverDogs
September 5, 2010 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Charleston RiverDogs News Release
CHARLESTON, SC - Though the dog days of summer and the 2010 season will have come to an end, the Charleston RiverDogs have decided to throw baseball fans in the Holy City one last bone.
Fans of the RiverDogs sweet deal and all-around fun will still have a reason to cheer after the season because all those "Be Your Own Fans!" are invited to Riley Park on Thursday, Sept. 9 for one last Thirsty Thursday, thanks to Budweiser and Citadel Broadcasting.
The team's first postseason Thirsty Thursday will feature all the same specials that fans have come to love throughout the season, minus the live baseball, however.
While the RiverDogs have taken the field for the final time in 2010, one can still "Be Your Own Fan!" with beer and Firefly specials, along with some sweet food deals throughout the night.
The action on the field may be missing on that Thursday, but we will add even more excitement and competition to the concourse as fans can take part in corn hole and speed pitch games.
Fans will even get the chance to dunk a local celebrity in the dunk tank, all the while local band "Hot Sauce" provides the soundtrack to your Thirsty Thursday finale.
The festivities take place at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park from 6 - 9 p.m., rain or shine, all courtesy of Budweiser and Citadel Broadcasting. Patrons must be 21 to enter, and tickets are available at the RiverDogs Box Office prior to Thursday's event for $3 or can be purchased at the event for $5.
For more information on tickets visit www.RiverDogs.comor call the RiverDogs Box Office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647).
