Kassian Reassigned to Aeros

HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Matt Kassian to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kassian, 24 (10/28/86), has been recalled to the Wild three times this season. He has averaged 5:29 time on ice (TOI) and has 12 penalty minutes (PIM) in four games with the Wild. Kassian has two points (1-1=2) and a team-high 54 PIM in 18 games with the Aeros this season. Kassian made his NHL debut Friday, Nov. 5 against Calgary. The 6-foot-5, 252-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Aeros return home for a pair of games against the Rockford Ice Hogs this Thursday (11:05 a.m.) and Friday (7:35 p.m.). Call 713-974-7825 for more ticket information.
