Mississippi RiverKings News Release

(Southaven, MS) --- RiverKings coach Kevin "Killer" Kaminski puts his judging skills to the test Tuesday night, September 22nd, at the Southaven TGI Friday's Restaurant, 176 Goodman Road East, when the restaurant holds its local bartending contest as a first step toward being named TGI Friday's World Bartending Champion.

Last year's Central Hockey League Coach of the Year, Kaminski will be one of the celebrity judges for the contest, which starts about 7 PM at the Southaven location.

Not only does the winner move on up the ladder toward possibly winning the title of the TGI Friday's World Champion bartender, but all involved will help the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation, a corporate charity partner of TGI Friday's. These events typically raise between $1000-$3000 for the foundation.

In addition to the contest, plans are to raise funds with prizes, such as a jersey, hockey sticks, and a ticket package.

Kaminski will be helping to send one bartender on to the Memphis regional competition. From there, it's possibly on to the Southeast division, national and ultimately the world championships.

Come on out, cheer on your favorite bartender and "Judge Killer" and help raise funds for the "Make a Wish" Foundation Tuesday night, September 22nd, beginning at 7 PM, at the Southaven TGI Friday's, 176 Goodman Road East.

Tickets are available for the upcoming RiverKings season in Southaven! Season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming year by callling the RiverKings at 662-342-1755!
