HOUSTON, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Monday that forwards Maxime Lincourt and Josef Fojtik were invited to attend the Houston Aeros American League Hockey training camp this week. Lincourt and Fojtik are signed with the Bucks for the 2009-10 season.
"To have two of our current players attend American League camp is a plus for us," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "When we have AHL caliber talent on our roster it makes our team better."
The 22-year-old Lincourt has played in a total of 105 professional games in the ECHL and IHL, putting up a total of 61 points (25-36=61).
"Maxime is a highly touted forward who will help us quite a bit," said Ruskowski. "I tried to get him last season but couldn't, we are excited to have him on the roster this year."
Lincourt, a native of Montreal, Quebec, scored 53 points (24-29=53) in 70 games last season splitting time with the IHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks and Flint Generals. "Josef has amazing speed, just blazing," said Ruskowski. "He also has performed well at this level before, and we think that he could put up good numbers here."
Fojtik began last season with the IHL's Flint Generals picking up 36 points (19-17=36) in 39 games, before being released on January 18th. The Oztrava, Czech Republic native finished last season with the LNAH's (non-professional) St. Georges CRS Express, where he scored 14 points (8-6=14) in 12 games.
