KALAMAZOO, MI - The Growlers swept the series against the Woodchucks tonight, finishing the game on a walk-off double from Niko Kavadas (Notre Dame). After tonight's win the Growlers are now 10-2 against teams that are below them in the South Division and are 10-6 overall.

The Woodchucks scored their only two runs of the game in the top of the second inning. Mason Doolittle started Wisconsin off with a double to right field. Doolittle then advanced to third on a single from Peter Ahn. Doolittle then scored for the Woodchucks on the throw to first base. Ahn followed scoring a run of his own on the overthrow at third base.

The Growlers did not wait long to respond to the Woodchucks in the bottom of the third inning. Ivan Johnson hit an RBI triple to right center field to easily score Jordan Bowersox from first base.

Then in the bottom of the fourth inning, Kavadas hit a solo home run to tie the game up at two apiece. The Growlers and the Woodchucks remained tied the rest of the game in a pitcher's duel. Growlers starting pitcher Connor Adams went 6.0 innings only allowing one earned run.

Going into the bottom of the ninth inning still tied, Georgia Tech freshman Baron Radcliff stepped up to the plate and got a walk on an eight pitch at bat to advance to first base. Niko Kavadas stepped up to the plate looking to end the game in walk-off fashion. Kavadas hit a line drive double over the center fielder's head to score Radcliff from first base and secured a win for the home team.

The Growlers look to extend their win streak when the Wisconsin Rapid Rafters come to Kalamazoo tomorrow at 7:05 PM. The evening is Friends and Family Day presented by FM 106.5 with a special appearance from Daniel the Tiger presented by WGVU PBS.
