
Kainoah Brankovic Signs with Tri-City

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2007-born defenseman Kainoah Brankovic to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Brankovic was selected by Tri-City 112th overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
The six-foot-two and 180-pound defenseman played the 2022-23 season with Yale Hockey Academy U17 Prep where he served as the team's captain. Brankovic, from Port Coquitlam, B.C., posted 38 points in 31 games, scoring 10 goals and 28 assists. He then added two goals and four assists in four playoff games.
"Kainoah is a strong skater with good size and very good offensive instincts," stated Tory. "He posses great leadership qualities, both on and off the ice.
"We look forward to Kainoah joining our team and becoming part of the Americans family."
The Americans will wrap up the regular season this Friday at the Toyota Center as they host the Spokane Chiefs for Autism Awareness Night, presented by AutoZone. Tickets can be purchased at the Toyota Center Box Office or online from Ticketmaster here.
