
Kabengele and Queen Lead Vipers in Victory over Legends

Edinburg, Texas -The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (15-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, defeated the Texas Legends (8-10) 137-110 on Saturday night.
RGV led the entire first quarter and part of the second quarter until the Texas Legends went on a 14-0 run and took the lead of the game with a score of 39-38. However, the Vipers would go on a 7-0 run to take the lead back with a score of 45-39. The Vipers extend its lead for the remainder of the game which resulted in a 137-110 victory.
Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevelin Queen led RGV with 25 points and five rebounds. Mfiondu Kabengele posted a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Marcus Foster totaled 20 points. Anthony Lamb finished the night with 18 points and eight rebounds. Trhae Mitchell added 15 points, six rebounds and nine assists. Tyler Bey hit 10 points and eight rebounds.
The lead scorer of the night was Justin Jackson, of the Legends, with 40 points. Feron Hunt summed 22 points and right rebounds. Carlik Jones hit a double-double with 21 points and 11 assists. James Bank III also hit a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
RGV returns to the Bert Ogden Arena on Thursday, March 3 to take on the South Bay Lakers. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. For more information visit www.rgvipers.com.
