Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

All-Time Record: 5-8

Last Meeting: 99-107 on 1/16/22

Streak: L3

The Sioux Falls Skyforce is looking to finish a three-game road swing on a winning streak, something they haven't done since sweeping Salt Lake City in January.

Behind a career-high 35 points on 13-21 FGA and 10 rebounds from DJ Stewart, Sioux Falls was able to split a back-to-back with the OKC Blue on a 115-111 victory on Wednesday. The Force moved to 2-1 this season on the finale of a back-to-back.

Playoff implications are still heavy in this one, as well. as the Force sits just 2.5 games out of the final Western Conference playoff spot as the team will return home for four-of-five home games starting next weekend. The Hustle, despite the 6-12 record, is just 4.5 games out, as well.

The Hustle swept the Skyforce in a back-to-back in mid-January, with Shaq Buchanan going off for 33 points on 14-29 FGA, six rebounds and four assists in the finale. Since those games, Memphis is 4-10, with losses in three-of-four games, and a 114-105 defeat to the Austin Spurs on Friday night.

Buchanan leads Memphis in scoring this season, averaging 21.1 points on 42.9% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per 35.5 minutes a game. Slowing him down will play crucial for a Skyforce victory.
