K-Wings Complete Trade For Ondrej

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce the completion of a trade with the Flint Generals.

Kalamazoo will receive defenseman Martin Ondrej (ON-drey), while the Generals pick up defensemen John Miller and Jason Robinson.

A native of Presov, Slovakia, Ondrej began his career in his hometown with the HK Dragon Presov.

In 305 professional games, including this season, Ondrej has registered 103 points (19 goals, 84 assists) and has logged 720 minutes in penalties.

Ondrej's best season as a professional was during the 2006-07 season, when he posted 27 points (5 goals, 22 assists) in 76 games for the Generals. Ondrej nearly duplicated his efforts last season finishing the year with 25 points (4 goals, 21 assists) in just 67 games with Flint.

Ondrej is slated to make his K-Wings debut tomorrow morning, as Kalamazoo hosts the Port Huron Icehawks with a 10:30 a.m. face-off on Education Day.
