K-Tribe Surpasses Last Year's Attendance

KINSTON - With 1,336 fans coming through the Historic Grainger Stadium gates for the K-Tribe's Monday night game against Lynchburg, the Indians have now drawn 115,326 fans in 2008, already passing last year's attendance total of 115,195. With eight more home games on the schedule, the K-Tribe is on pace to draw over 130,000 fans this season. It will be their fifth straight season of increased attendance and the most since 2001.

"Eastern North Carolina is showing how much they love the K-Tribe this season," said Kinston Indians General Manager Shari Massengill. "Our fans know this is the place for affordable family fun. From gas to groceries, this year prices have gone up everywhere, except Grainger Stadium."

Ticket prices remain unchanged for the 2008 season. Reserved seat tickets start at just $4 for students, seniors and the military. General Public reserved seats are just $6. General Admission is just $5. Parking is always free at Historic Grainger Stadium.

The K-Tribe continues their second to last homestand of the season on Tuesday night with Senior Night. All fans 55 or over get a voucher for a free hot dog, game time 7pm! The homestand concludes on Wednesday, August 13th with Military Appreciation night. The 7pm start features free admission to all military and their families.

The K-Tribe's final home stand of the regular season takes place on Monday, August 18th - Saturday, August 23rd. Homestand highlights include a Wallet Giveaway on Thursday, August 21st. Wallets will be given out to the first 1,000 fans and selected wallets will be full of cold hard cash! Game time 7pm. Friday, August 22nd is our Final Fireworks Extravaganza of the season, also a 7pm start. Star Wars night invades Grainger Stadium on Saturday, August 23rd. Star Wars characters will be roaming the stadium for pictures and out of this world encounters!
