11 AM Game on Wednesday!

The K-Tribe takes on the defending Carolina League Champion Lynchburg Hillcats (now a Cincinnati Reds affiliate) in game one of a three game series tonight at Historic Grainger Stadium. Alex White gets the start on the mound for Kinston.

Homers Odyssey- Kinston's slow-starting bats had a coming out party in Sunday's 15-2 rubber match victory over Myrtle Beach. The K-Tribe hit six home runs, after they had just four coming into the game. It was the first time Kinston hit six dingers in a game since June 8, 2007 vs. Myrtle Beach. Three of the six homers came in the 7th inning, the first three-homer inning for Kinston since May 12, 2007 vs. Potomac. The Indians belted nine homers in the three-game series with Myrtle Beach, after having just one in their first 14 games of the campaign.

Old Friends - K-Tribe Manager Aaron Holbert is familiar with the Cincinnati Reds organization, as he was in the system for two years as a player and also played 22 games for the major league club in 2005, hitting .222 (6-for-27) with 2 RBI. He spent the remainder of those two seasons playing for Triple-A Louisville, where he ranks among the all-time career leaders in nearly every offensive category.
