
K-Mets to Open Six-Game Home Stand Tuesday

The K-Mets are coming off a successful three-game road swing and are excited to open up a six-game home stand Tuesday, as they will host the Greeneville Reds and Bristol Pirates.
The Mets currently sit at 19-18, and are four games out of first place in the Appalachian League West. They do however; currently hold the second playoff spot in the division with a two-game advantage on the Pirates and Cardinals.
In addition to the playoff chase going on, the Mets have some exciting promotions in store for this home stand.
Tuesday night is the series opener against the Reds, and is another $2 Tuesday, where fans can partake in $2 hot dogs, sodas, and beer. It's also Food City Tuesday at the ballpark, where fans can receive $2 General Admission tickets (up to four) just by bringing a Food City receipt to the ticket office.
The series continues Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday is the Kingsport Library Mets Summer Reading Program Night, as we will welcome and honor our area youth that participated in the Kingsport Public Library Mets Summer Reading Program. It's also Dollar Thursday, where fans can partake in $2 hot dogs, sodas, and beer.
Friday the Mets open up a three-game series against the Bristol Pirates and kick off Back to School Weekend, presented by US Army.
Friday's game will feature an exciting post-game fireworks display, sponsored by Quest Diagnostics. It will also be HMG Appreciation Night, as the Mets will welcome employees and families from HMG.
Saturday's contest will continue Back to School Weekend, and feature another post-game fireworks display, this time sponsored by Domtar. It's Domtar Night at the stadium, as the Mets welcome employees and families from Domtar.
Saturday will also feature our third t-shirt giveaway of the season, as the first 300 fans through the gates will receive a free NY Mets t-shirt.
The home stand will conclude Sunday with a 4:00 pm matinee, with gates opening at 3 pm.
Be sure to come out to Hunter Wright Stadium this week to see the Mets push for the postseason.
