Junior Lynx Ice Patrol Debuts Tonight

Intermissions at Augusta Lynx games will take on a new look beginning with tonight's 7:05 p.m. contest against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.

The Augusta Junior Lynx Ice Patrol will be on hand for intermission festivities at remaining Lynx home games this season. The Ice Patrol will feature several players from Augusta Junior Lynx travel hockey teams that compete in the East Coast Youth Hockey League against teams from across the Southeast.

The Junior Lynx will be throwing T-shirts and other items to the crowd, be on hand to help with intermission contests and will help lead the crowd in other fun activities on the ice.

Tonight's game will feature several players from the Augusta Junior Lynx Pee Wee team, which recently closed out the regular season undefeated at 15-0-1 and will play for the McCaig Cup Championship March 6-7 at The Cooler in Alpharetta, Ga.

The Junior Lynx teams are based at the Augusta Ice Sports Center, featuring the top youth hockey players in the CSRA.
