TONIGHT: The Mudcats continue a two game road trip with game two of two at Buies Creek tonight against the Astros. Tonight's game is the 15th of 28 total meetings between the two teams this season. Carolina is currently 6-8 overall, 1-3 at home and 5-5 on road against the Astros this season.
ICYMI: Buies Creek pitchers Cristian Javier and Hector Perez combined to hold the Mudcats to just one run on three hits while pitching the Astros to a 7-1 win in Thursday's second half opener at Jim Perry Stadium. Abraham Toro paced the Astros offense by going 2-for-3 with two runs, a double and home run.
STARTING OFF: RHP Braden Webb has tonight's game two of two start versus the Astros at Buies Creek. Webb is currently 3-5 this season and has pitched to a 4.50 ERA over 12 starts this season. He has also totaled 57 strikeouts, 32 walks and a .237 average against over 54.0 innings this season. Webb went 2-1 with a 2.00 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 27.0 innings in May, but is 0-2 with a 5.06 ERA over three starts so far in June. Webb last started on 6/14 in Myrtle Beach and allowed just one run on two hits over 5.2 innings. He also walked five, but totaled a career high 10 strikeouts while pitching into the sixth on 98 pitches.

JUNE GLOOM: Carolina is collectively batting a Carolina League worst .183 in June. They also own a -13 run differential and have averaged just 3.28 runs per game since June 1 and since Keston Hiura was promoted to Double-A...
