
Jukka Raitala and Lassi Lappalainen Called up by Finland National Team

MONTREAL - Defender Jukka Raitala and midfielder Lassi Lappalainen have been selected by the Finland national team for two 2020 European Championship qualifiers to be held in Tampere, against Greece on September 5, and against Italy on September 8.
Raitala, 30, has played 45 games with the Finland national team, making his senior debut on February 4, 2009, in a friendly against Japan. He has appeared in several World Cup and Euro qualifying games, as well as appearing in UEFA Nations League and Baltic Cup games. Raitala also played in the Finland youth system, representing his country at the U17, U19, and U21 levels, and was named the Finland U21 Player of the Year in 2009.
Lappalainen, 21, has recorded two assists in five games with the Finland national team, making his senior debut on January 8, 2019, in a friendly game against Sweden. He recently appeared in three 2020 Euro qualification games. He also played with the U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21 youth national teams.
