San Jose brought several new players into the team this season. Daniel Vega was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rowdies and cemented himself as the starting goalkeeper for the Quakes. Cristian Espinoza was acquired on loan from Villareal and has scored three goals in 26 appearances. Judson also came on loan from Brazilian club Tombense FC and has scored one goal in 22 appearances. Additionally, Marcos López came from Sporting Cristal Lima.

Chris Wondolowski has scored 11 goals in 26 appearances, which leads the Quakes at this point in the season. The captain has spent 12 years with San Jose and broke the MLS goalscoring record earlier this season with four goals against the Chicago Fire earlier this season.
Team Form
San Jose´s road form in their last five matches has not been great (1-3-1). However, the team has not lost in their last eleven home games. The Quakes are one of the most improved teams from the 2018. Last season San Jose was last in the Western Conference. New Head Coach MatÃas Almeyda has successfully changed San Jose's run of fortune with the team currently sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference.
