
Sounders FC Acquires $100,000 in General Allocation Money from Nashville SC

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that it has acquired $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from Nashville SC in exchange for the rights to midfielder Hany Mukhtar. The 2020 MLS expansion side made Mukhtar its first Designated Player signing this morning, with the German international remaining with Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF through January 2020. Nashville is set to play its first season in MLS in 2020.
Following a 2-1 Cascadia Cup-clinching win on Friday over archrival Portland Timbers, Sounders FC hosts the LA Galaxy on Sunday, September 1 at CenturyLink Field (3:30 p.m. PT / FS1, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
TRANSACTION: Sounders FC acquires $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from Nashville SC in exchange for the rights to midfielder Hany Mukhtar.
