New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution and Chelsea FC have distributed the $4 million in proceeds from the "Final Whistle on Hate" charity match, which was held at Gillette Stadium on May 15, to 16 organizations dedicated to combatting antisemitism and discrimination.

The Revolution and Chelsea teamed up to harness the power of sport in bringing people together to tackle hate and prejudice in all its forms. The initial idea for the match was developed by club owners Roman Abramovich and Robert Kraft in light of a global rise in antisemitic activity and hate crimes. Abramovich and the Kraft family each donated $1 million.

Donations of varying amounts have been distributed to the 16 previously named match beneficiaries with individual grants as high as $500,000, which were gifted to three of the beneficiaries with global reach - the Anti-Defamation League, Holocaust Educational Trust, and World Jewish Congress.
