June 15, 2007 - Aiken, SC- The Bradenton Juice (15-9) went for the series win on Friday but it was not meant to be in the middle game of the series with Aiken (16-9) as the Juice lost 16-2. Solid pitching and four home runs off Foxhounds bats took down the Juice at Roberto Hernandez Stadium.
Third baseman Bradley Key had a great game at the plate for Aiken going 3-5 with 3 homers, driving home 8 runs. Jeff TImmons also added two hits for the Foxhounds including a solo homerun.
Bradenton scored its two runs in the Bottom of the 8th inning on a hit to left by Eddie Kim that left fielder Ben Bando overran and the ball went all the way to the wall scoring Luke Barganier and Jean Castro. The Kim hit was ruled an error by Bando.
Derek Hawk (1-3) didn't have his best stuff working for Bradenton as he took the loss going 2.1 innings allowing 9 runs on 10 hits, walking none and striking out 3 batters.
Brian Grivalja (1-0) got the win for Aiken pitching 3 innings, allowing 0 runs on 2 hits, walking 1 and striking out 1 Juice batter.
