
Jr. Blues set to open training camp

The 2004-2005 Springfield Jr. Blues will begin preparations for the upcoming season when players report to the Nelson Center Sunday on August 15th for their first official day as member of Nick Pollos' squad.
The Jr. Blues players and coaching staff will go through several meetings before enjoying a team dinner for the players, their families and the team's housing families.
"It's a great way for all the families to meet all the players, and for everyone to get to know each other" said Pollos, the clubâs head caoch.
The Jr. Blues will then begin a week of two-a-day off-ice workouts on Monday August 16, followed by their first intersquad scrimmage on August 21.
The team will open the exhibition season the weekend of August 27 at home in the Nelson Center as they play host to the CSHL's Quad City Express on Friday. They also face the Peoria Mustangs on Saturday, the then and St. Louis Jr. Blues on Sunday.
