Zebulon, NC --- The Cincinnati Reds have made one roster move impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats.
Yesterday, the Reds recalled RHP Jordan Smith to the major leagues and he made his debut pitching a scoreless ninth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers last night. Smith, who was a 2009 Southern League All-Star, was 1-3 with a 5.08 ERA and a team-leading nine saves over 27 appearances for the Mudcats in 2010.
No replacement has been named.
Carolina continues its homestand tonight against the Mississippi Braves.
