SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - There's a win streak going in Springfield.

Six shutout innings from Connor Jones and a pair of Andrew Knizner RBIs paced the Cardinals to a 4-0 shutout of the RockHounds on Sunday night. It's the first three-game winning streak for Springfield since winning four in a row from May 24-27.

Jones allowed just three hits and walked three over his six scoreless frames in his best outing since tossing seven scoreless against Tulsa on June 12.

Knizner put the Cardinals on the board in the third when he singled Tommy Edman home on a line drive into center. Lane Thomas pushed the lead to 2-0 with another single that brought in Ramon Urias.

Two innings later, Urias homered for the second time in as many days. That solo shot made it 3-0 Cardinals in the fifth.

The 4-0 final was cemented when Knizner drew a bases loaded walk in the seventh.

Luke Gregerson came on in the eighth for his second rehab appearance of the weekend, allowing a single and striking out one.

Hector Mendoza shut down the RockHounds in the ninth with a pair of strikeouts.
