Jon D'Aversa reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Jon D'Aversa from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Thursday.

D'Aversa, 21, has recorded 10 assists in 20 games with the Nailers this season. He represented Wheeling at the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game in Stockton, California, recording two goals for the American Conference.

The native of Richmond Hill, Ontario has also recorded two points (1+1) in nine games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.

The Penguins will host two home games this weekend, taking on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05pm on Friday, February 1 and the Norfolk Admirals at 3:05pm on Saturday, February 2.
