Express Returns to Dell Diamond for Homestand Starting Tonight! Join us at Dell Diamond tonight as the Express closes out their eight-game homestand tonight.
The Original Thirsty Thursday returns for its second time this homestand featuring $1 sodas and discounted draft beer!
New Express pitcher LHP Travis Blackley will take the mound to start the game for the E-Train while the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners) will counter with top-prospect Taijuan Walker.

Rangers Open Tryouts: Tuesday, August 20
Have you ever had dreams of playing in the Major Leagues? Are you between the ages of 16-25 and think you have what it takes to play for the Texas Rangers? Then come try out for the organizaiton at open tryouts at Dell Diamond on Tuesday, August 20! The Rangers, through the local support of its Triple-A affiliate Round Rock Express, will conduct an open tryout camp for prospective professional baseball players to be held Tuesday, August 20, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Non-drafted, non-contracted individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 are eligible to participate in the one-day tryout. Position players are to report at 8 a.m. and pitchers at noon. The public is invited to attend.
Members of the Rangers scouting department will be present at the tryout to evaluate participants based upon Major League standards. Overall skills tests such as 60-yard dash, agility, hitting ability and arm strength from shortstop, outfield, catcher and pitcher positions will be administered. Participants are responsible for their own equipment and should come dressed in baseball attire. Baseballs will be furnished.
All interested individuals are directed to pre-register online. There is a $10 fee to register which includes an official tryout t-shirt. American Legion players must provide a letter from their coach or post commander granting permission to attend the tryout camp. All entrants must sign an injury waiver to participate.
Express Street Team: Where Will They Be?

This week the Street Team will be volunteering at Supplies for Students Distribution at Cedar Ridge High School on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Street Team will also have a booth at Steiner Ranch Concert in the Park on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Texas Farm Bureau: Two Free Tickets in August! Texas Farm Bureau members: During the month of August, the Round Rock Express will provide Texas Farm Bureau members up to two (2) tickets per visit simply by showing their affiliation with the Texas Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.
Fans can show either their TXFB membership card or a past bill to receive their tickets.
Identification must be shown at an Express ticket window and the offer will be for any August Express home game.
Southwestern Pirates Football Night: Saturday, August 24
The Express and Southwestern University have teamed up to host "Southwestern University Pirates Football Night" on Saturday, August 24 when the Express host the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Triple-A, Houston Astros) at 7:05 p.m. at Dell Diamond.
Southwestern football head coach Joe Austin will throw out the night's first pitch and members of the football team will be on the concourse to meet fans. During the game, fans can stop and get more information on Southwestern University and the return of the football program. Additionally, fans can redeem their Express ticket stub for a ticket to the Pirates home opener on September 7 at the box office at Birkelbach Stadium.
Southwestern football returns to the field after a 63-year absence when they open their season against Texas Lutheran. Season tickets are now on sale and can be ordered at www.SouthwesternPirates.com or by calling (512) 863-1381.
