UNCASVILLE, Conn. (September 1, 2009) - The Connecticut Sun announced Tuesday that Asjha Jones, Lindsay Whalen, Erin Phillips and Sandrine Gruda will be joining fans aboard the 101-year-old Mystic Seaport steamboat Sabino on Thursday, September 3, to raise awareness and funds for a new initiative launched by the Museum.

The cruise, which is open to the public, leaves Mystic Seaport promptly at 5:30 p.m. and returns to the dock at 7 p.m. The 90-minute ride travels through the Mystic Bascule Bridge, to the mouth of the Mystic River and back.

During the cruise, the players will mingle with the guests and be available to answer questions, sign autographs and take pictures.

Tickets for the cruise are $50 - with proceeds going to the Museum's new initiative. Soft drinks and light hors d'oeuvres will be provided. To purchase tickets, call the Connecticut Sun at 860.862.4052. Limited spots are available.

Sabino, which was built in 1908, is a registered National Historic Landmark, one of four in the Museum's collection. It is the last coal-fired steamboat in operation in the country.
