
Johnson Captures New York-Penn Honors

Blair Johnson was named the NY-P Pitcher of the Week (August 16-22). For the week he compiled a 2-0 record, best in the league, and a 1.80 ERA.
Johnson started his week in fine style, working a season-best eight innings, allowing just two earned runs on six hits en route to a 7-2 victory over Hudson Valley.
Five days later, he surrendered eight hits and just one earned run over seven innings to propel Williamsport to a 2-1 victory over Hudson Valley.
For the season, Johnson is 5-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 13 games for Williamsport. In 82.2 innings, he has allowed just 59 hits and 23 earned runs. With Hickory earlier this season, Johnson was only 1-4 with an 8.68 ERA in eight games before being demoted to Williamsport.
He is the first Crosscutter to be honored with a league award in the 2004 season.
