BURLINGTON, VT --- The Vermont Expos will host two of the three New York-Penn League division leaders this week at Centennial Field as the Pinckney Division-leading Auburn Doubledays are in town for three games and the Stedler-Division-leading Tri-City ValleyCats for four games.
The Expos host Auburn, which had a league best 45-15 record before Monday night's game at Batavia, for single games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Birdzerk will be at Tuesday's game to entertain the fans, while "Hot Dog Heaven" will take place on Thursday with 25-cent hot dogs all night.
Tri-City, which has the league's second-best record at 38-23 heading into Monday night, return to Centennial Field on Friday for a doubleheader before single games on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a diamond dig after Friday's 6:05 p.m. doubleheader, a Legislative softball game at 5:00 p.m. before Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game and "Have A Catch" after Sunday's 5:05 p.m. game.
After this seven-game homestand, the Expos head to New Jersey for three games before returning to Centennial Field to close out the 2004 season with a three-day, four-game homestand against the Lowell Spinners September 2-4.
