
Jets Sign Forward Gordon

The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Andrew Gordon on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Gordon, 27, played in 54 games with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League last season. In that time, he recorded 32 points (19G, 13A) and 49 penalty minutes. He also suited up for six games with the Vancouver Canucks. The Halifax, NS native has played in 55 career NHL games between Washington, Anaheim and Vancouver for seven career points (3G, 4A) and six penalty minutes. In 350 career AHL games with Hershey, Syracuse, and Chicago, Gordon has scored 267 points (126G,141A) and collected 236 penalty minutes. In 2009, Gordon helped the Hershey Bears capture the AHL's Calder Cup and appeared in 2011 AHL All-Star Classic. He was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the seventh round, 197th overall, in the 2004 NHL Draft.
