Jellis Joins Steelheads As Athletic Trainer Sponsored By Sliers

Boise Idaho¾ The Idaho Steelheads announced today that Brad Jellis, MS, ATC, CSCS, has joined the team through a partnership with St. Luke's*Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Services.

The 31-year-old attended school at the University of North Dakota from 1998-2002 and earned a BS in Athletic Training. He then attended graduate school at Bemidji State in Minnesota from 2002-04 and achieved a MS in Sports Science.

Following his degree, Jellis worked at Health South in Las Vegas with high school-aged athletes, then with USA Wrestling covering national events around the country. He spent the last two seasons (2005-06, 2006-07) with the ECHL's Fresno Falcons at the team Athletic Trainer.

Since 1947, the Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital has served the needs of people with disabilities in our community. SLIERS has been an ongoing partner of the Idaho Steelheads, and in addition to providing a trainer for the team, partners with the Steelheads in community programs that improve peoples lives all across the Treasure Valley and beyond.

The Steelheads will unveil the 2007 ECHL Kelly Cup Championship banner at the home opener on Friday, October 19th against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
