Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam announced today the signing of defenseman Jason Goulet for the 2007-08 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"I'm excited to be a part of a winning team," said Goulet, "and to build on that this season."

Goulet ("Goo-lay"), 24, hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and joins the 2007 American Conference Champion Bombers after splitting the 2006-07 season between the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, the Pensacola Ice Pilots and the Cincinnati Cyclones. In his 58 ECHL games played between Pensacola and Cincinnati, Goulet tallied 10 points (3G,7A) and 150 PIM.

"It'll be interesting being on the other side of the fence," Goulet said of the Bombers rivalry with the Cyclones. As for dropping the gloves against his former team, the defenseman said simply, "we'll have to see how it goes."

Goulet also spent two seasons in the Central Hockey League with the Oklahoma City Blazers from 2004 to 2006, where he picked up a career-high 248 PIM (leading CHL defensemen with 24 majors) during the 2005-06 season.

"This season should be a lot of fun," he said. "I just want to work hard and improve my game while I'm in Dayton."

The Bombers' Opening Night Extravaganza is Saturday, October 20, against the rival Cincinnati Cyclones (7:00 p.m.) at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Group tickets for Opening Night are on sale now by calling 775-4747.

Full and partial season ticket packages for the Bombers' 2007-08 campaign are also on sale, starting as low as $99! Individual game tickets are on sale now! For more information, please contact the Bombers at (937) 775-4747 or visit www.daytonbombers.com.
