Jeff Frazier and Jay Sborz Named to IL All-Star Team

OF/IF Jeff Frazier and RHP Jay Sborz were selected to play in the 2010 Triple-A All-Star Game, the International League announced Wednesday.

Frazier, in his third season with the Hens, leads the IL in doubles with 27. He is batting .282 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI. His 15 homers are a career-high and have him tied for fourth among IL sluggers. The 27-year old has played in 78 of the Mud Hens' 79 games and has appeared in 74 straight. This is his third season in Toledo. This is the first Triple-A All-Star game for Frazier. He was a member of the 2006 Florida State League All-Star team with Lakeland.

Sborz has been the anchor of the Mud Hens bullpen this season. His 15 saves are tied for third in the IL. At 25-years old, Sborz is in the midst of his second season with the Hens. He is 1-2 with a 3.18 ERA and made one appearance with the Detroit Tigers this season. In 28.1 innings pitched with Toledo, Sborz has struck out 30 with 13 walks. This is the first professional All-Star game for Sborz.

The 2010 Triple-A All-Star Game, pitting the best from the Pacific Coast League against the International League's best, will take place on Wednesday, July 14 at 7:05 p.m. The game is being hosted by the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and will take place at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, Pa.
